Botanically derived Natural Latex is a unique gift from mother nature, harvested entirely by hand. The liquid material is tapped and collected, much like maple syrup, from just beneath the bark of the tree. It must be carefully gathered from Rubber trees one by one, grown on plantations which contain hundreds of thousands of trees.


In fact, a queen size 6" natural latex mattress requires one day's output of 12 acres, containing 2500 rubber trees, with each tree weeping about 15 grams of liquid latex daily. Why is that important? The same 2500 rubber trees remove 143 metric tons of atmospheric carbon dioxide in one year. Each 12 acres of rubber trees employs 8 rubber tappers as well. Natural Latex is a renewable, natural material that offers unique properties unlike any other, but you have to know what you're getting when you buy a latex mattress.

Our Nest Organics mattresses are manufactured by an independent mattress factory which has been making mattresses since 1886. Talk about a rich heritage. Our Natural Latex is sourced from plantations on the island country of Sri Lanka, in the Indian Ocean, where the finest premium white latex rubber is grown and harvested in a tropical mountainous climate. Our Sri Lankan partner has over 60 years of experience in natural latex rubber technology and manufacturing, and allows us to offer what we believe to be the best Natural latex mattress on the planet.

This mattress carries a simple 10 year warranty. Because the mattress has a zippered top, we can adjust the feel from firm to soft and anything in between. Over time, you can refresh or customize the feel of your mattress by simply changing out the latex top.
