Bird Brain?

Are you a bird brain? Maybe you should be.

Man: the most intelligent being on the planet. Charged with caring for the world, the environment, with the animals. Yet we can't even seem to care for ourselves. Given this great capacity for thought, creativity, love, what do we do? We create chemicals, conveniences, drugs, bombs, poisons, fast food. We build homes with toxic materials and fill them with off-gassing furnishings and floorings, filling our lungs and bodies with more and more chemicals, then we wonder why we have such increasing levels of cancer, tumors and Alzheimers.

Look at the birds of the air; when they know they are going to lay eggs, they carefully and methodically forage for natural items around their environment. Sticks, twigs, grasses, feathers, string, yarn; all natural and recycled materials they find, carefully constructed to provide a clean, warm, safe nest to raise their family.
They don't build refineries to create toxic chemicals and foams, they don't clear cut rainforests or decimate the environment.

We build these great machines of commerce and they are fed with demand for product. So we create demand by advertising, and the gullible general public eats it up, unwilling to do the work themselves, they turn over the work of making their nest to the chemical companies, furniture companies, mattress companies. It's a vicious cycle, and it has to stop. There must be people who will rise up and build a new, sustainable, profitable business model, that respects the environment, does not poison the planet or people, and motivates the masses to take control of their individual choices. It's time to be bird brains.
