Nest Bedding Mattress Warranty FAQ
Last Reviewed: January 22, 2026
Your Nest Bedding mattress is protected by a Limited Lifetime Warranty for qualifying manufacturing defects, as long as the original purchaser owns the mattress and the terms below are met.
Warranty FAQ
What does the Nest Bedding mattress warranty cover?
The Limited Lifetime Warranty covers qualifying manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use. This can include qualifying body impressions or sagging, certain cover or zipper defects, seam or stitching defects not caused by misuse, and qualifying coil defects.
Who is eligible for warranty coverage?
The warranty applies only to the original purchaser of a Nest Bedding mattress purchased directly from Nest Bedding or from an Authorized Retailer. It is non-transferable and does not apply to secondhand, gifted, resold, or non-authorized purchases.
Is the warranty transferable?
No. This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
What kind of foundation or base is required to keep the warranty valid?
The mattress must be continuously supported by a proper, structurally sound foundation or base. Approved support includes a solid platform, a slatted base with slats no more than four inches apart, an adjustable base designed for mattress use, or direct placement on a flat, level, dry, structurally sound floor. Queen-size mattresses and larger also require rigid center support that reaches the floor.
What support types can void warranty coverage?
Flexible or bowed slats, traditional box springs that do not provide rigid flat support, slats spaced more than four inches apart, and broken or improperly assembled support systems can void coverage if they contribute to the damage.
How much sagging or indentation qualifies for review?
During years 1 through 5 from delivery, indentations greater than two inches may qualify for warranty review. During years 6 through 10, indentations greater than two inches may still qualify for review, but age and expected material softening are considered. After 10 years, coverage is limited to clear, verifiable manufacturing defects and is reviewed case by case.
Does meeting the indentation threshold guarantee approval?
No. Meeting the indentation threshold qualifies the mattress for review only. It does not guarantee coverage.
What is not covered under the warranty?
The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, comfort preference changes, foam softening, minor indentations, stains, burns, tears, contamination, misuse, improper handling, pet or pest damage, improper support, allergies, sensitivities, or natural odors from new materials.
How do I file a Nest Bedding warranty claim?
Email customerservice@nestbedding.com with your proof of purchase, a description of the issue, clear photos or video of the mattress and issue, and photos of the law label and support system. Additional documentation may be requested.
What happens if a warranty claim is approved?
If Nest Bedding confirms a covered defect, Nest Bedding may repair or replace the mattress with a current comparable model and size, at its sole discretion.
Are pillows, toppers, sheets, and foundations covered by different warranty periods?
Yes. Pillows and mattress toppers have a 2-year warranty, sheets, duvet covers, protectors, and comforters have a 1-year warranty, pet beds have a 2-year warranty, and Nest Bedding-branded foundations have a 5-year warranty.
Warranty Overview
Nest Bedding (“Nest Bedding,” “we,” “us”) provides the original purchaser (“you”) with a Limited Lifetime Warranty against certain manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use and conditions.
This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, changes in comfort preference, material softening, or conditions resulting from improper use or improper support.
If a covered defect is confirmed, Nest Bedding will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace the mattress with a current, comparable model and size.
Warranty Eligibility
This Limited Lifetime Warranty applies only to the original purchaser of a Nest Bedding mattress purchased directly from Nest Bedding or from an Authorized Retailer.
An “Authorized Retailer” is a third party expressly approved by Nest Bedding to sell new, unused Nest Bedding mattresses through a transaction recognized by Nest Bedding.
This warranty:
- Is non-transferable
- Applies only to mattresses used for normal residential purposes
- Does not apply to mattresses used in commercial, institutional, rental, or hospitality settings
Mattresses purchased secondhand, gifted, resold, or acquired from non-authorized sellers are not eligible for warranty coverage.
Proper Support Requirements
To maintain warranty eligibility, the mattress must be continuously supported by a proper, structurally sound foundation or base from the date of delivery through the submission and review of any warranty claim.
Approved support systems include:
- A solid platform foundation or slatted base with slats spaced no more than four (4) inches apart
- For queen-size mattresses and larger, a rigid center support that extends to and contacts the floor
- An adjustable base designed and rated for mattress use
- Placement directly on a flat, level, dry, and structurally sound floor
The following void all warranty coverage:
- Flexible, bowed, sprung, curved, or flexing slats (including “euro slats”)
- Traditional box springs or foundations that do not provide rigid, flat support
- Support systems with slat spacing greater than four (4) inches
- Broken, unstable, modified, or improperly assembled foundations or frames
Damage, sagging, or indentations resulting from improper or non-compliant support are not manufacturing defects and are not covered under this warranty.
What This Warranty Covers
This Limited Lifetime Warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, including:
- Qualifying body impressions or sagging, subject to the indentation standards below
- Manufacturing defects in the mattress cover or zipper (excluding damage caused by misuse or improper handling)
- Construction defects such as seam unraveling or stitching failures not caused by misuse
- Manufacturing defects in coil systems, including broken, collapsed, or protruding coils
Indentation and Sagging Coverage
Indentation or sagging is eligible for warranty review only when caused by a manufacturing defect and not by normal wear, improper use, or improper support.
Years 1–5 from Delivery
Indentations measuring greater than two (2) inches may qualify for warranty review.
Years 6–10 from Delivery
Indentations measuring greater than two (2) inches may qualify for review but are evaluated in the context of expected material softening and age.
Beyond 10 Years
Mattresses in use for more than ten (10) years are expected to show material softening and compression. Warranty coverage is limited to clear, verifiable manufacturing defects and is evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Meeting an indentation measurement threshold qualifies the mattress for review only and does not guarantee coverage.
What Is Not Covered
- Normal wear and tear or foam softening
- Comfort preference changes
- Indentations less than the stated warranty thresholds
- Stains, burns, tears, discoloration, or contamination
- Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or improper handling
- Damage caused by pets, rodents, or infestations
- Damage resulting from improper or non-compliant support systems
- Allergies or sensitivities to materials
- Natural odors from new materials
