The Mattress Store; reinvented
With all the hype in the press about how some mattress companies are inventing foam, spending thousands of hours researching every type of mattress material and creating the "perfect" mattress, Nest Bedding is quietly going about the business of re-imagining the mattress store experience. No, a mattress company didn't invent a new kind of foam, another didn't invent the latex and foam mattress, and putting 3" of foam on top of coils isn't anything that hasn't been done for decades.
The online mattress hype machine is in full swing. Why? Simply put, consumers are fed up with the typical mattress store experience: over-priced, over-hyped and pressure to buy. And yet the online mattress companies are falling right in step with the very industry they are purporting to disrupt. Mattress companies making over-the-top claims of perfect mattresses, inventing foams, inventing mattresses, latex is dead, foam is antiquated, coils are passe, and what was supposed to be simplified choice has now becoming an overwhelming cacophony of noise. Instead of one mattress store with 50 beds, now we have 100 online retailers with one bed. For the consumer, it's still overwhelming.
Nest Bedding sees things a bit differently.
We agree, the mattress store experience needed to be reworked. The old "used car" approach to selling mattresses is played out, antiquated. If anything needs to be overhauled in the mattress industry, it's this old business model. It's fake, bloated, tired. While all these new online mattress companies are "just discovering" foam, coils and how to put them together, Nest Bedding is focusing on building better beds at lower prices, streamlining the production and delivery process, and completely overhauling the retail experience.
Walk into a Nest Bedding store and you will immediately notice a refreshing lack of signage, balloons, neon paint and hype. What you will find is informed, nice brand advocates, or "Nestologists" as we like to call them, there to educate and listen, not push and manipulate. And instead of a sea of brands and beds, you will find a narrowed down selection of foam, coils, latex, all the best quality at one everyday low price, presented in a boutique, unique, low pressure setting. Not one bed claiming to be the perfect bed. And no sale that ends Sunday.
Mattress construction didn't need to be reinvented, or as some will have you believe, invented. And foam has been around for decades, it didn't get reinvented. It has been improved, and that is what we focus on at Nest Bedding: better quality materials, the newest innovations in foam and coil construction and materials, all at a consistently low price and none of the funny business you are used to.
