Christian Alexander
Owner & Chief Executive Officer
I write about mattress construction, material transparency, comfort systems, product serviceability, and the decisions we have made through more than a decade of direct retail and ecommerce experience.
Why my perspective matters
I helped establish Nest Bedding's early online presence and worked with my father, founder Joe Alexander, to build our first store. I officially joined the company as a leader in 2015 and succeeded Joe as CEO in 2022.
Since 2016, my sister, Brooke, and I have worked together to design, test, and improve our mattresses, sheets, and pillows. My work includes evaluating construction changes, comfort-layer behavior, customer feedback, manufacturing relationships, and the long-term serviceability of qualifying mattress designs.
Before leading Nest Bedding, I worked as a medical professional in both military and civilian settings, including service in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. I also earned a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration. That experience informs my emphasis on careful communication and practical problem solving, but my published sleep content is general education rather than medical advice.
Firsthand work
These are the areas where my experience most directly informs our products, guidance, and published content.
Mattress design and testing
I evaluate mattress feel, layer behavior, covers, coils, firmness choices, split comfort, and how construction changes affect the finished product.
Materials and manufacturing
I work with manufacturing partners and translate foam, latex, textile, fire-barrier, certification, and origin details into clearer shopper guidance.
Long-term comfort support
I help shape comfort exchanges, replaceable comfort-layer designs, and post-purchase processes intended to solve fit problems without unnecessary replacement.
