Shipping Information
The Owl Natural Latex Hybrid is lovingly made to order, so your bed won’t be ready to ship immediately. Processing your order will take 24-48 hours. It will take 3-6 business days to produce your mattress; once it has finished, it will be boxed up and shipped to your doorstep.
Shipping is free to all our Nest Bedding customers in the continental United States. Once shipped, you should receive your mattress at your doorstep in 3-8 business days.

What does a latex mattress feel like?
Latex feels very different from memory foam. Instead of sinking in, you’ll feel more lifted and supported, with a responsive surface that adapts quickly as you move.
This means:
- Less “stuck” feeling
- Easier movement
- More noticeable support
If you’re used to memory foam, latex may feel firmer at first, but many sleepers prefer the added support and responsiveness once adjusted.
Why does this mattress feel firmer (or softer) than expected?
Latex responds differently from foam. Because it has natural pushback, it can feel firmer initially, even in softer options.
At the same time, it still provides pressure relief, just without the deep sink.
If you’re transitioning from memory foam, we typically recommend choosing one level softer than you’re used to.
Is the Owl right for me if I like memory foam?
If you love the deep, slow “hug” of memory foam, the Owl may feel very different.
Latex is more responsive and supportive, with less sink and more movement.
Many customers who prefer that traditional foam feel are better suited for a foam hybrid like the Sparrow.
Does the Owl mattress sleep hot?
No, the Owl is designed to sleep cooler than traditional foam mattresses.
Natural latex is more breathable and doesn’t trap heat the same way memory foam can. Combined with wool and cotton, it helps regulate temperature throughout the night.
Together with a proper foundation and naturally cooling sheets, these features will guarantee an excellent night's sleep.
How does it ship, and how long does it take to expand?
The Owl, once constructed, is compressed, folded, and rolled into a large cardboard box. Queen, King, and California King orders are double-boxed to ensure your mattress arrives undamaged. Once received, your Owl mattress will reach its intended height within 12 to 24 hours.
How do I perform an exchange?
During your 365-night trial, you can exchange your comfort layer if the feel isn’t right. This is especially helpful when adjusting to latex, as some customers prefer a softer or firmer option after trying it at home.

Is this mattress good for sex?
Yes, latex is naturally responsive, which makes movement easier and more comfortable. The combination of latex and coils provides bounce, support, and stability.
Bed Frames & Foundation Compatibility
For proper support and to maintain your warranty, the Owl must be used on a sturdy, supportive base. This includes:
- A platform bed with slats no more than 4” apart
- A solid foundation or adjustable base
